Those who follow this school of thought would say that this has, in turn, led to a decrease in student perseverance in the face of more challenging tasks.

Some believe that the digital age has resulted in pupils who expect to find answers at the click of a mouse, with the problem of instant gratification on the rise and teachers subsequently having to work harder to keep the attention of their class.
